I first heard about Flashback 2 years ago. This is a contest with Disneyland and Disney California Adventure cast members performing in 4 musical productions of Disney classics with a modern twist. Last year they did not have the shows because they were updating the Hyperion Theater to show the Frozen Musical.
This year, I found out a few of my cast members friends were participating, so I had to go watch them perform.
I got to the Hyperion Theatre inside DCA at about 7pm. I met Teara and one of her friends in line to get in. I then got a text from my friend Carlene, saying " I see you". She was in line behind me. So I invited her and her 2 friends to join us. We were able to sit with each other for the show. Carlene sat on the aisle but got a little freaked out when the performers came down the aisle by us.
There were 4, 20 minute musicals performed by 4 different teams.
The Orange team performed Nani I'a Wahine inspired by The Little Mermaid.
The Blue team performed the Gospel Truth inspired by Hercules.
The red team performed if the Boot fits, inspired by Cinderella.
And the green team performed Get her to the Greek inspired by Beauty and the Beast.
They were all great performances. I really enjoyed them all.
But there was one I was really excited for. The green team. This team had the most cast members, I've become friends with. It was awesome to see them perform. It made me proud to see Lisa B., Amanda H., Cameo H., Brittany B., Emma B., Heather B., Giselle M., Melissa L., Jessica W., Ashley A., and Elise B., among them. I even was able to get a few pictures during the show.
Team Red won the night and Team Green had the best choreography.
I even got to see a few of my friends after, to get some pictures with the Team Green sign I made.
This is something I'd like to see every year. I really enjoyed myself.
