1st week of December 2016

This is the first week that I have Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday off from work. Besides my normal Monday and Tuesdays off, I'm using vacation days for every Wednesday this month. 

Monday, I got to Disney California Adventure when they opened at 10am. The single rider line at Radiator Springs Racers was about a 30 minute wait. At about 11:45am I turned my 8100 lap (ride). I got on the ride 9 times, for the day.  Ending at the 8107 mark. 

Throughout the day, I went back and forth from Racers and Tower of Terror. Trying to reach 260 totals times on that attraction. I ended up with 7 times on Tower. Ended at 209. I also got to say goodbye to one of the Bellhops, Luis. It was his last day with Disney. Wishing him the best in the future. I left the park at 7:27pm

Tuesday, I arrived at DCA at 9am. Again a mixture of Radiator Springs Racers and Tower of Terror. I was able to have a better day at Racers. I got on 12 times. Ended at 8119. I got another 7 rides on Tower and ended at 223. One ride I sat down in the elevator, and I saw my friend Desiree,  seated across from me. She even pointed at me for the ride picture. I left the park at 8pm. 

Wednesday, I had a few errands to do and did not get to DCA until almost 1pm. I first stopped at the Racers Fastpass area and visited with my friends Carlene, Teo and Marie. Of course I also got a couple selfies. 

I got on 7 times at Racers and another 7 times on Tower. My last ride at Racers was with my friends Martha, Alyssa and Logan. We then all went together and got on Tower. Always fun to ride with people I know. I left the park at 8pm. I probably would of liked more rides at Racers, but the single rider line was crowded on all 3 days. The wait times were from 20 to 40 minutes. 

I ended my 3 days with 28 times on Racers. Now at 8126. And 21 times on Tower. Now at 230. Only 30 from my goal of 260 before the ride closes on January 2nd,

My favorite times at the park is when I get to take pictures with my friends. They really make my day. Back again next Monday to continue the adventure.

Tower and the final month of 2016.

I wanted to go see the doctor before making this post. I was worried I may not get to do the things I want in December.

On Sunday November 27th, I got to go on Tower of Terror, in Disney California Adventure, for the 200th time. What made it special was getting to ride with some of my Bellhop friends. Lisa B. help set up the ride by asking the leads if we could ride at the end of the night. At about 10:15pm, I got to ride with Lisa, Sarah, Jose, Jessica, Tony, Spencer, and Marilyn. A great group. I'm lucky that I get to ride with these great people.

At the end of November, I ended up with 8098 rides on Radiator Springs Racers, all time. One month to see if I can break my year total from last year. I went on Racers 2795 times last year. I would need to go on Racers 264 times this month to tie that mark.

But I also want to get 58 more times on Tower to reach 260 all time. Why 260? Some cast members wanted me to have 13 in the final number. 213 times would be too easy and there is no way I can get to 313. But 13 goes into 260, 20 times.

I'm going to try and hit both goals, but Racers will be there next year. Tower of Terror will not. My friend from work, David, will put together a video of all the Tower photos with my Bellhop friends, after the attraction closes for good.

I'll  be helping the odds of achieving both by coming to California Adventure every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this month. Plus Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. Let the games begin starting Monday December 5th.

This week started out pretty good. I came on my usual Monday and Tuesday for all day racing. 

When I saw the crowds waiting to get into the parks, I thought it would be tough to get the rides I wanted. The hours of operation for Disney California Adventure were shorten to 10am until 8pm. Only 10 hours.

On Monday the ride was great all day long. No downtimes. But single rider line was fast at times and slow other times. By the end of the night I was at 23 laps. One of my cast member friends was at belt check and told me I should have time to get in one more ride. So when I got off, I walked around to the entrance. The single rider line was closed, so I went through the standby line and got to 24 rides for the day. My total was then 7949.

I came Tuesday and the crowd was even bigger. But for some reason, they were not using the single rider line at Racers. I was able to get on 26 times. That brought my total to 7999. 

On Friday, I got to the park at 7am. I even got in with Extra Magic guests 8:15am. The plan is to go on the 8000 lap around 4pm. So I had a lot of free time. I first went on Tower of Terror 2 times. I walked by Flik's Fun Fair and saw Martha. Visited with her for a couple minutes. She got full time work over at Paradise Pier. So had to get one last picture with her, at Flik's.

I also visited with Sergio and Jess at Mater's Junkyard Jamboree. Then walked back to Tower for another ride. Then went by Radiator Springs Racers. Catalina was out front, by the single rider line. We talked about the Run Disney events, among other things. I walked over to the Run Disney Expo in the Disneyland Hotel Convention Center. I saw some friends including Heather and Cameo. Great to see them both. I walked back into DCA and went on Tower one more time, I'm now at 189 times on that ride. It was then around 2pm. So I went into Flo's Cafe to get a coke and sit down for a few minutes. Also to start writing this post. Now just waiting for 4pm to come so we can get the 8000 lap.

At around 4pm, Catalina, Carlene, Tara and her Mom and Dad, and Heather showed up. In the front seat was Heather, Tara and Carlene. In the back was Mary, myself and Catalina. At 4:23pm, in Red 2, on Ramone side of the track, we turned the 8000 lap. We lost the race. Heather had my GoPro camera and we got a video of the lap. I'll post on You Tube the end of next week. 

The single rider line was crowded, so I called it a day. Back tomorrow after racing in the Avengers 10K.
